Maher the Fresno Water Tower was inspired by Chicago Ave Water Tower. It is an example of the Romanesque revival created in the late 1800s. The tower built in 1894 with a capacity of 250,000 gallons was operational till 1963. The water tower is listed on the National Registar of Historic Places.
